I am a huge fan of home-made. In my apartment I have a small “corner”, which is exclusively used for my “beauty lab” experiments. There I mix, remix, invent & reinvent the most effective blends for my skin.
I am a firm believer that fresh home-made beauty products are far more beneficial for our skin than any most expensive & beautifully packed commercial crap, full of conservants & suspicious substances. At home you can create your perfect mix & be absolutely calm about what it consists of.
I love this yummy & nutritious lip balm I made some time ago. It is rich in Cocoa butter & Almond oil, it feels good on lips & smells great! You do not need any fancy & expensive ingredients to make it. It is simple, fast, natural & it will work wonders on your lips!
My proportions are:
20% – cocoa butter
20% – almond oil
10% – bee wax (or any vegetable wax)
very little cocoa powder (I use few crumbs of dark chocolate)
Vitamin E (several drops)
Melt coca butter & bee wax in a microwave or (I prefer) in bain-marie, add almond oil, cocoa and Vitamin E. Mix it well using a small ceramic or plastic spoon and pour it into a desired container. Let is cool. Done!
Enjoy your soft fabulous lips!
